Hope House on Crotona Park A 6-Year Pilot Project in Bronx, New York
Hope House on Crotona Park, anticipated to open in 2025, will be an Alternative to Incarceration (ATI) for people living with serious mental illnesses and accused of felony level crimes.
A Voluntary Program for those Determined Mentally Competent to Participate
The Center’s program will involve a stay of up to two years in a monitored residential facility
The Diversion Process
Once the defendant is determined competent, program enrollment will occur at the point of a Court ordered Plea agreement
Security Through Bail Bond Supervision
Security will be provided by licensed bond agents hired by Hope House and trained to work with Hope House residents
Treatment Philosophy
Hope House will offer a therapeutic treatment and residential environment within the framework of a work-ordered day program
Re-Entry into the Community
Re-entry programming will begin on day one
